I am sooooo excited to announce that I have been selected to show my Robot Mermaid at the Morean Arts Center for the upcoming Robot Exchange (8th annual!). I have been a part of this show, created by Mark Stevens who is the father of Bob the Robot Prince of Denmark, for the past five years. It is one of my favorite challenges and it gives me a reason to break out my old TransFormers clothes (G1 ALL THE WAY!).

This year also hosts the exciting March of the Robots as the show has expanded venues. It will be at BOTH the Morean Art Center AND Bar@548. I have been holding on to an Optimus Prime mask JUST FOR THIS REASON. I am excited to say that I plan to mark along with my artist friends that night.

This year's entry is made from only upcycled items that I found when I walked myself and my pugs through the streets and allies of St. Petersburg. This piece took months to make (it takes a while to find all of those little bits). I want to add some lights to the work, which is framed inside of a shadowbox. I'm working on a name, but may call her Robot Thalassa. Thalassa is a very very very old Greek goddess representing the lonely sea. Considering the state of the world and our oceans, think of this as combination of earth goddess and Wall-E robot.

Your Art has been selected to be showcased in the eighth annual installment of ArtOfficial Intelligence: The St. Pete Robot Exchange. This year the show will be held at two primary locations. Your Art has been selected to be displayed at the Morean Arts Center.

Here is some super important information:

The Exhibition will run from September 6-27, 2019

The opening reception will be held on Saturday Sept. 14th from 5-9pm ---AND this is when the parade will happen!

All artwork must arrive at The Morean no later than Sept. 2nd
